BOULDER CITY, Nev. – SWOSU Men's Golf took the cross-country trip to Nevada to compete in the Las Vegas Desert Classic for their first spring tournament. The Bulldogs finished in 20th place.
Lincoln Memorial won the event, followed by Dallas Baptist and Oklahoma Christian tied in second, and Colorado Christian in fourth.
Mariano Racca led SWOSU on the leaderboard for the first time all season. He finished at T-66 (+9). Racca shot his best round of 72 in round one.
Otto Heden ended at T-78 (+12) as the second highest Bulldog on the scorecard. He posted the lowest round for a SWOSU golfer with his third-round score of 69.
Sutton McMillan,
Lukas Hendricks, and
Anders Strand rounded out the five SWOSU competitors. Strand was the lone Bulldog to improve his score through all the rounds, taking four strokes off his initial score by his final round.
SWOSU will come back to Weatherford and prepare for their next contest, the Oak Tree Invitational in Edmond, Oklahoma on March 18-19.
