RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – SWOSU softball pitcher
Courtney Hill has been selected as the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is Hill's second GAC Pitcher of the Week award of the season and third overall for SWOSU softball this year.
The Fort Gibson native excelled in the circle against East Central this past weekend. Hill pitched a complete game shutout and struck out a season high eight batters in an 8-0 SWOSU win that only went six innings. The outing was her second complete game shutout of the season. She followed that up by throwing five scoreless innings in relief, giving up only two hits to her 17 faced batters.
The Dawgs won the series against ECU 2-1. Hill and SWOSU Softball will look to defend their home field once again, when they host Northwestern Oklahoma State for a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 12.
