ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Bulldogs competed in the Central Region Preview and had two Top 10 finishers, with
Conrado Diaz Ermacora and
Jack Phillips firing under-par scores to lead the way.
Central Oklahoma dominated the tournament, winning by 31 strokes over Missouri Western and Southern Arkansas who both finished at +4 as a team.
Conrado Diaz Ermacora picked up a Top 10 finish for his second tournament in a row after shooting the best round of the tournament for the Dawgs with a 6-under (65) in round three. This round was highlighted by five birdies and a hole-in-one on the 172-yard par-3, securing his ninth-place finish, his best of the year.
Jack Phillips had his best round come early on day one, shooting a 2-under 69. He showed consistency throughout the tournament with his other rounds being 1-over 72 and even par 71 and was able to tally nine birdies throughout his three rounds of play. He notched a 10th place finish, just behind teammate Ermacora.
Ryan Carlisle and
Lucas Vidal finished within a shot of each other at +11 and +12, respectively. Carlisle had his best round of 2-over 73 in round one, highlighted by back-to-back birdies on the back nine. Vidal closed out his tournament with his best round, also a 2-over 73, and accumulated seven birdies throughout his three rounds.
SWOSU will conclude the fall season in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, on October 28-29 at the Tulsa Cup, hosted by Rogers State.
