BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – SWOSU Women's Golf wrapped up play at the Central Regional Preview on Tuesday with an eighth place team finish.
Central Missouri won the event by a single stroke over GAC foe Henderson State.
The Lady Bulldogs climbed three spots in Tuesday's final round to nestle inside the top-10 on the team leaderboard thanks to significant score improvements from four of the five team members between rounds one and two.
SWOSU got strong rounds from different golfers, on different days. Lau was Monday's leader for the Lady Dawgs after shooting the low round with a one-over par 73.
Freya Sala beat that mark by two strokes on Tuesday when she finished under par with a 71 – a nine shot improvement from her first round 80.
Drew Dodgion shaved 11 strokes off between rounds,
Megan Brown matched Sala's nine, and
Ashlyn Acosta three.
For the tournament, SWOSU posted the third best par 3 scoring average. They finished at +7 collectively in eight total par 3 holes.
After taking next week off, action will continue for the Lady Bulldogs October 8-9 at the Battle For The Belt hosted by Henderson State in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
