Lady Bulldogs Sit Tied for 11th After Two Rounds at National Tournament

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – SWOSU Women's Golf completed the second round of the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships on Wednesday, ending the day tied for 11th overall.

The Lady Bulldogs entered round two tied for ninth after the remaining teams in the field completed suspended first rounds Wednesday morning following Tuesday's weather delays.

SWOSU added five strokes to its team total between rounds one and two. Daniela Espinoza paced the Lady Bulldogs in round two, carding a one-over 73 with four birdies to move into a tie for 13th individually.

Freya Sala, who led SWOSU with a 74 in the opening round, followed with a 76 (+4) on Wednesday.

Maria Velilla shot a 78 (+6) in round two, while London Wilson (87) and Nerea Anton (91) rounded out the lineup.

The Lady Bulldogs will tee off Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. (CT) for the third and final round of stroke play. SWOSU enters the final day seven shots behind the top-eight cut for match play. UT-Tyler currently holds the eighth and final qualifying position at +40, while SWOSU sits at +47.
