WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Softball has announced the addition of 14 new student-athletes to the roster with their 2024 signing class.
The class – highlighted by transfers – consists of nine from junior college, two from Division II, and three incoming freshmen. Nine are from Oklahoma, with Texas and Arkansas sprinkled in to finish off the group.
"We're really excited about this recruiting class," said head coach
Jessica Boone. "The three freshmen we signed will be fun to watch grow and compete. Meanwhile, the 11 transfers will bring important experience for us alongside a winning mentality."
SWOSU signed six from junior college juggernaut Murray State, who helped produce a 58-2 record for the Aggies last season. They began the season 58-0 and their only losses came in the NJCAA World Series. Two more come from consistently nationally ranked Division II programs, Oklahoma Christian and Rogers State.
"Our focus continues to be on our program's culture. I believe the returners we have coming back will pair well with the athletes joining our family. I look forward to continuing the path towards fulfilling the vision we have for the future."
Boone enters year two as head coach in 2024. She and the Bulldogs will begin the new campaign in February.
