CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – For the third consecutive season,
Rebecca Lau and
Mikaela Rindermann of the SWOSU Women's Golf team have been placed on the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar list.
The 2021-22 WGCA All-American Scholar Team was announced Tuesday with a total of 1,485 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 required to be considered.
Since 20212, SWOSU Women's Golf has totaled 21 WGCA All-American Scholars from 11 different student-athletes. Lau and Rindermann join alums Jessica Heard (2012-14) and Elin Wahlin (2017-19) as the only other three-time honor winners during that span.
"For these two to be this consistent in the classroom truly shows the commitment they have to being student-athletes," head coach
Brad Fleetwood said. "This is the highest academic honor we have in women's golf, and I am so proud of the hard work they've put in to earn it three years running."
