RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Enzo Bonventre has been recognized as the Great American Conference Player of the Week following his explosive week at the plate for SWOSU Baseball.
This is the first player of the week honor a SWOSU Baseball player has received this season.
Bonventre (St. Clair Shores, Mich.) blasted four home runs and added a triple to his weekly resume, finishing 6-for-11 at the plate with 11 RBI and a whopping 1.818 weekly slugging percentage. The graduate transfer also walked six times and scored five runs for the Bulldog offense.
His best game last week came in SWOSU’s series opener against East Central where he finished a perfect 3-for-3 with three home runs and eight RBI.
Bonventre currently leads the team in home runs (9), RBI (30), and slugging percentage (.820).
SWOSU won its series with East Central 2-1 for their third GAC series win in four weeks. They return to action this weekend when they welcome Southeastern to Weatherford in more conference action.
