WEATHERFORD, Okla. – As the outright champions of the Great American Conference, SWOSU Soccer has earned the top-seed in the 2021 GAC Tournament and the right to host the event, which begins on Thursday at the SWOSU Athletic Complex.
Postseason Dawgs
- This is the 10th time in 11 seasons SWOSU has competed in the GAC Tournament
- Under Coach Persson, the Bulldogs are 10-4-2 in the GAC Tournament
- SWOSU has now hosted the tournament the past three consecutive seasons (including the spring season this past year)
- The Bulldogs have hosted the GAC Tournament five total times: 2012, 2013, 2016, 2019, and 2020
- The Bulldogs have won the GAC Tournament four total times: 2012, 2013, 2017, and 2019

- SWOSU enters postseason play 12-5-1 after finishing 10-1-1 in the GAC
- The Bulldogs are riding a 6-game winning streak that dates back to October 16th and have won 10 of their last 11
- The lone loss mentioned above came at the hands of Oklahoma Baptist – a 2-0 defeat in Shawnee
- SWOSU holds a 7-2 home record this season when playing in Weatherford
- Junior Nicole Petrino has won four GAC Defensive Player of the Week Awards this season
- Goalkeepers Ashley Hughes and Kirstyn Dill have both each won GAC Goalkeeper of the Week once

(2) Oklahoma Baptist (11-5-1, 10-2 GAC)
- Has four players with at least six goals scored on the year
- Annie Louthan and Hannah White both have seven goals, Kaylee Swaner and Tori Kitchel both have six
- Leads the conference in scoring offense with 44 total goals – one more than SWOSU's 43
- Louthan, Swaner, and Hannah Evans all have five assists on the year – all tied for the conference lead
- Goalkeeper Jeffrey Ireland has six shutouts and has allowed nine goals this season
(3) Northwestern (11-5-2, 6-4-2 GAC)
- Freshman Tiara Campbell leads the conference with 19 goals
- Goalkeeper Reagan Allen has posted five shutouts this season
- The Rangers play gritty defense with a league-leading 148 fouls
(4) Ouachita (9-6-2, 6-5-1 GAC)
- Tied with Oklahoma Baptist with seven shutouts this season – al credited to goalkeeper Michele Snow
- Led by Jaymee Dotson and Alexis Perry with six goals apiece
