Geasland, Young Lead SWOSU to Final Weekly Conference Honors

RUSSELLVILLE – SWOSU Soccer's Kinsey Geasland and Emma Young have earned Offensive and Goalkeeper of the Week honors from the Great American Conference in the final week of the regular season.

Geasland earns her third recognition of the season after claiming the award in each of the first two weeks back in early September. The first-year player did it all in Thursday's 4-0 victory over Oklahoma Baptist, scoring the opening goal before shifting into a facilitator role, recording two assists. She appeared for just eight minutes in the regular-season finale, recording two shots, one of which was on goal.

As the regular season comes to a close, Geasland sits at or near the top of several statistical categories across the conference. She leads the GAC in shots (81), shots on goal (37) and points (22), while her nine goals are tied for the conference lead. She also ranks third in assists with four.

Young played all 180 minutes across this week's action, facing six total shots and saving all six en route to recording her third and fourth shutouts of the season. Through 11 appearances this season, she has allowed more than one goal just once, coming in the season opener. In her last six starts, Young has surrendered just two total goals
