RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Braelee Epp of SWOSU Soccer has earned her second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season for Week Nine, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Epp has now won the award twice in the last three weeks, accounting for two of SWOSU's four Offensive Player of the Week honors this season. As a team, the Bulldogs have collected seven weekly conference honors through nine weeks of play.
In SWOSU's two matches against Harding and Ouachita Baptist last week, Epp recorded two shots on goal and scored the lone goal of the week for the Bulldogs. Her goal came against Ouachita Baptist, as she found the back of the net over the outstretched arms of the Tiger goalkeeper.
On the season, Epp ranks among the top players in numerous GAC statistical categories. She and teammate Kinsey Geasland are tied for the league lead in goals with eight each and points with 18 each. Epp also has four game-winning goals, which is tied for the conference lead.
Epp has been one of the main contributors to a Bulldog offense that is averaging nearly 0.4 more goals per game than any other team in the conference.
