Tulsa, Okla. - The SWOSU Men's and Women's Golf teams compete in the Tulsa Cup this week in Tulsa. The Men's team finished T-4, while the women's team finished T-7 at the 21 team tournament.
The men's team finished in the top 5, being tied with Delta State for 4th. Collectively the team shot a +2. Heston Brown started the tournament off with the lowest score shot for the entire tournament with a round of 65. He would go on to finish T-3 at -8. Gregor Weck shot a -4, which allowed him to finish inside the top 10. Cameron Gallagher came in at +9 and T-59. Anders Strand and Lukas Hendricks finished at 66th and 72nd.
Rodgers State would end up at the top spot, shooting -17. Central Missouri would be second and Henderson State would round out the top 3.
The Women's team would finish the tournament T-7 with Augustana University (SD). They shot a combined +43. Megan Brown would end the two days in the top three at T-2 after shooting +8. This is her second top ten finish for the fall season. The next two finishers for the Bulldogs, Rebecca Lau and Anna Marksa, finished together at T-37 at +21. Close behind was Mikaela Rindermann, at T-49 at +23. Rounding out the team, Zoe Morton finished at T-81 and +37.
West Texas took the top spot shooting +41 while Rodgers State and Northeastern State rounded out the top 3.
Both Mens and Womens finish out the fall season on a positive note. A top 5 finish for the guys and another top 10 finish for the women should give a big confidence boost heading into the Spring season.
