WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU Women's Basketball team clinched a share of their third consecutive Great American Conference Regular Season Championship after defeating Arkansas Tech 94-84 in overtime on Saturday afternoon at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.
The Lady Bulldogs played from behind for most of the game, which included facing a 15-point deficit at halftime. After briefly taking the lead midway through the fourth quarter, SWOSU trailed by three with 21 seconds to play when Head Coach

Tyra Aska, who drilled a three-pointer with 16 seconds to play and forced overtime.
SWOSU seized control at the outset of the extra session and never relinquished the lead before pushing ahead to hold their largest lead of the day at the end, winning by double-digits.
Bethany Franks led the way for SWOSU with a career-high 29 points and 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
Makyra Tramble added 20 points and seven rebounds while hitting all eight of her attempts from the free throw line.
Tyra Aska flirted with a triple-double, posting 13 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in a team-high 41 minutes of action and
Taber Beer also reached double figures with 11 points before fouling out late in regulation.
The Lady Bulldogs conclude the regular season with a record of 21-7 and finish in a three-way tie for first place in the Great American Conference at 16-6. SWOSU drops the tiebreaker to both Harding and Southeastern Oklahoma State, so they will enter the 2020 GAC Tournament as the No. 3 seed and face No. 6-seed Arkansas-Monticello next Friday night at 8:00 pm in Bartlesville.
