Lady Dawgs Land in 7th at the NSU Classic

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – SWOSU Women's Golf improved their team total by 15 strokes on Tuesday and moved up to take seventh place at the Northeastern State Classic, played at Cherokee Springs Golf Course.

All five scoring golfers shot in the 70's on Tuesday, one day after none of the Lady Bulldogs were able to accomplish that feat. SWOSU's top four scorers finished within two strokes of each other, with Zoe Morton leading the way at 13-over par for the weekend. Rebecca Lau was one shot behind her after shooting a 76 – the best round of the tournament by a SWOSU player – on Tuesday, followed by Mikaela Rindermann and Georgia Miller at 15-over.

Rogers State won the tournament by four shots over Henderson State while Northeastern State's Aitana Hernandez was the individual medalist at three-over par.

SWOSU now has a two-week break before returning to action at the UCO Classic on September 30-October 1 at Golf Club of Edmond.
