SHAWNEE, Okla. – Due to weather conditions, SWOSU Softball has pushed back the start dates for the series against Oklahoma Baptist to Sunday and Monday. This Great American Conference series will take place at the Lady Bison Park in Shawnee, Okla. with doubleheaders on both Sunday and Monday starting at 3:00 pm.
The Lady Bulldogs look to extend their winning streak after coming off of a two game sweep last weekend against NWOSU, winning the first game 14-1 and the second game 7-6. SWOSU is now 15-26 overall and 14-18 in league play. This weekend, SWOSU will be playing in a GAC matchup against Oklahoma Baptist who is ranked 11 in the GAC standings.
Hannah Franklin leads the team in batting average hitting .384 while adding 15 RBI on the season.
Hannah Morris lead the team in hits connecting on 48 hits while batting .366 and 19 RBI. Leading the Bulldogs in homeruns is
Amanda Moreno who has earned nine homeruns and 26 RBI while batting .350.
Samantha Householder leads SWOSU in RBI with 33 adding six triples and seven homeruns with the batting average .322.
On the defensive end, first baseman
Allyson Gafford leads the team in fielding percentage .981 with 11 double plays. Catcher
Ashtyn McAdoo has a .966 fielding percentage while throwing five people out who were stealing bases. Pitching for the Bulldogs is led by
Alisa Friesen who has gone 7-10 on the season striking out 44 batters in 96.0 innings.
Kaytlin Donaldson has stuck out 39 batters with a win-loss record of 5-13.
