Setting the Scene
- The 2018 SWOSU Volleyball commences this weekend in Denton, Texas as the Bulldogs participate in the Pioneer Classic hosted by Texas Woman's University
- SWOSU will meet the host Pioneers on Friday at 11:30 am before taking on Florida Tech for the first time in program history that afternoon at 4:30 pm
- The Bulldogs conclude the event on Saturday by taking on St. Edward's at 9:00 am and Northwood at 4:30 pm

Texas Woman's
- Picked to finish fifth in the Lone Star Conference this season after ending 2017 with a record of 16-18
- Last Meeting: 9/8/17, SWOSU won 3-2 in Lubbock, Texas
Florida Tech
- Picked 11th in the Sunshine State Conference preseason poll after going 9-17 in 2017
- First Meeting between the two schools
St. Edward's
- After going 16-11 last season, the Hilltoppers are picked to finish fourth in the Heartland Conference in 2018
- Last Meeting: 9/3/15, St. Edward's won 3-0 in Austin, Texas
Northwood
- Predicted to finish fourth in the GLIAC North Division in 2018 after going 14-13 last season

SWOSU Notes
- The Bulldogs enter the 2018 season with an experienced roster consisted of 12 upperclassmen and 10 returning letterwinners from last year
- Head Coach
Josh Collins enters his seventh season leading the Bulldog Volleyball program and he's led the Bulldogs to at least 13 victories in five of the previous six seasons
- SWOSU has three starters back this season in setter
Kodee Avery, middle hitter
Addie Aman and outside hitter
Danusia Sipa Borgeaud
- Also returning for the Bulldogs is All-Great American Conference libero
Kaitlyn Dillon, who set a new single-season school record with 685 digs as a sophomore
- Among the newcomers for the Dawgs are rightside hitter
Alexis Kingston, who redshirted last season after playing two seasons at Blinn College, and outside hitter
Emily Holm, a junior college All-American last season at Scottsdale Community College
- SWOSU welcomes
Elizabeth McVicker to the court for her senior season after she spent the 2017 campaign as a member of the Bulldogs coaching staff
Looking Ahead
- SWOSU heads to Lawton on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup with in-state rival Cameron
- The Bulldogs will then open Great American Conference play on Tuesday, September 4th against East Central at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center in Weatherford
