WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Softball was winless in two tries against Southern Nazarene on Saturday after falling 9-1 (5 Inn.) and 10-5 to the Crimson Storm. Entering the day the Bulldogs were knotted up at one game apiece in the series, but dropped both ends of the doubleheader to lose the series 3-1.
The Bulldogs will be back in action at home on Tuesday (April 3) when they host Northwestern at 2 pm in a midweek conference doubleheader.
Game One

SWOSU only managed two hits in the day's opening game as
Samantha Householder and
Sidney Kirk accounted for one hit apiece. Householder's hit was also the lone run for the Bulldogs in the game, a solo shot to left center in the second inning.
Meanwhile, SNU scored runs in every inning which included two runs each inning from the first until the fourth.
Rileigh Ricken (L, 2-12) pitched all 5.0 innings in the contest and allowed nine runs, but only four of those were earned.

The Dawgs led 5-3 after two innings in the final game of the series – scoring one run in the first before putting up a four spot on the scoreboard in the second.
SNU scored seven unanswered runs to close out the game though and went on to claim the 10-5 victory and earn the series victory.
SWOSU severely outhit the Crimson Storm in the game, tallying 12 hits compared to just six from SNU, but committed three costly errors that directly led to four runs.
Kirk led the offense with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate with two RBIs, followed by
Jacquelyn Lovelace who chipped in another pair of hits herself.
Miranda Grover (L, 3-6) was charged with the loss after throwing 4.0 innings and was relieved by Kirk who threw the final three innings.
