Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Volleyball (10-15, 5-4 GAC) continues its homestand with a pair of conference games against Arkansas schools this weekend
- Friday night at 6 pm, it's a matchup of sixth-place teams as Ouachita comes to town sitting tied in the standings with SWOSU
- Saturday afternoon at 1 pm, the Dawgs will welcome Henderson State to conclude their week of action
- This weekend's games mark the final two matches SWOSU will play against teams they have not yet faced this year, with the remaining five contests on the schedule against in-state conference foes

The Opponents
Ouachita Baptist (12-8, 5-4 GAC)
- Swept their two games last week against ECU and SE, coming into the match with SWOSU on a two-game winning streak having not dropped a set in the process
- Ranks in the conference's top-five in hitting percentage (.211), assists (11.84/set), and kills (12.72/set)
- The Tiger offense is led by Paige Williams (170 kills), Tabatha Huckabee (185 kills), and Adrianna Nolly (185 kills) and has the third best setter in the league in Stormi Leonard who averages 10.22 assists per set

Henderson State (10-12, 3-6 GAC)
- Currently sits in the final playoff spot in eighth place if the GAC Postseason were to start tomorrow
- Ranks atop the GAC in digs, coming away with 19.32 per set
- Led in scoring by Courtney Bolf who ranks second in the league with 271 kills in 78 sets (3.47/set)

SWOSU Notes
- The Bulldogs had a pair of milestones in their midweek contest against USAO this week as Kodee Avery achieved 1,000 career assists and Kaitlyn Dillon got to 1,000 career digs
- Dating back to the first year of the Great American Conference in 2011, SWOSU holds a 7-0 record over Henderson State and a 3-6 record against Ouachita Baptist
- Last season, the Bulldogs defeated the Reddies in five sets in Arkansas and then fell to the Tigers a day later in four sets
- DeLayni Fine (2.57 kills/set) and Danusia Sipa Borgeaud (2.64 kills/set) continue to head SWOSU's attack at the net, combining for 521 kills between the two this season
- Kaitlyn Dillon's 5.20 digs per set in 2017 ranks her fourth in the GAC, anchoring the Bulldog defense that also ranks fourth as a team in digs by averaging 18.14 per set
- At the serving line, Klemson Lancaster is leading the team in aces with 28 on the season

Looking Ahead
- The Bulldogs will wrap up their four-game home streak next Thursday, Oct. 26 against Southeastern inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center at 7 pm in the only match SWOSU is scheduled to play next week
- The final four contests of the regular season following the Southeastern match will alternate between away and home, with the match against Northwestern on Nov. 9 in Weatherford before postseason begins
