- SWOSU Soccer (5-1-1, 2-0 GAC) hits the road to Arkadelphia, Arkansas this week for their first out-of-state match against Ouachita Baptist at 4 pm
- The Bulldogs played OBU three times last season going 2-1, splitting the regular season and then defeating the Tigers in the GAC tournament
- SWOSU has played Ouachita 17 times in the school's history of Division II, winning the overall series 9-6-2
- Both teams are undefeated in GAC play so far this season with 2-0 records
 
The Coaches:
SWOSU: Mark Persson (68-55-12; 8th season)
- Since taking over the program in 2009, Persson has amassed a 68-55-12 record, 
becoming the all-time winningest coach in program history
- Persson also led the Bulldogs to back-to-back GAC Championships in 2012 and 2013
- A two time All-Conference Coach of the Year, Persson holds a 37-24-7 record in GAC play
- He has coached one All-American, 12 All-Region players, and numerous All-Conference players during his time in Weatherford
 
OBU: Kevin Wright (40-32-3; 5th season)
- This is Coach Wright's fifth season at helm of Ouachita Baptist Women's Soccer after taking over in 2012
- Wright has coached three GAC Offensive Players of the Year, nine First Team and nine Second Team All-GAC selections
- He is 2-7-1 against the Bulldogs since 2012
 
The Opponent
Ouachita Baptist (2-4-1, 2-0 GAC)
- OBU finished 11-7 last season, losing to SWOSU in the opening round of the GAC tournament
- Three players have scored one goal for the Tigers this year, tying the team lead
- Goalkeeper Erin Webster has allowed six goals this season in seven matches
 
Bulldog Facts
- Alimata Rabo leads all of NCAA Division II with 15 goals scored this season and is in the process of creating a new school record for goals in a season, having already surpassed it (13)
- Sandra Nabweteme ranks second in Division II with her seven assists
- SWOSU's offense still ranks first in the NCAA averaging 5.43 goals per game
- Courtney Flores and the Bulldog defense have now shutout four opponents this season
