- The Bulldog Soccer Team looks to rebound in their second game of the season against Southwest Baptist, following a loss on Thursday to No. 5-ranked Central Missouri
- SWOSU has only played Southwest Baptist one time in its history back in 2006, a match that ended in a tie
- The game will be played at home on Saturday at 11 am out at the Athletic Complex

SWOSU: Mark Persson (68-55-12; 8th season)
- Since taking over the program in 2009, Persson has amassed a 68-55-12 record,
becoming the all-time winningest coach in program history
- Persson also led the Bulldogs to back-to-back GAC Championships in 2012 and 2013
- A two time All-Conference Coach of the Year, Persson holds a 37-24-7 record in GAC play
- He has coached one All-American, 12 All-Region players, and numerous All-Conference players during his time in Weatherford

SBU: Megan Link (9-9; 2nd season)
- The 2015 season was the first season Coach Link was Head Coach of Bearcat Women's Soccer
- In that season, she led her team to a fifth place finish in conference and saw seven players receive All-Conference honors including two receiving All-Region honors
- Prior to SBU, Link was an assistant coach for Quincy University for the 2014-15 season
- Link also played professional soccer in 2013 for Afturelding Football Club in Iceland's Premier league
The Opponent
- The Southwest Baptist Bearcats are 0-1 on the year after losing their season opener to No. 17-ranked Augustana
- The Bearcats finished last season with an even 9-9 record and a 6-4 conference record playing in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Conference (MIAA)
- After qualifying for post season, SBU's season came to an end with a first round loss in the first round of the MIAA Conference tournament
