The Coaches:
- SWOSU: Mark Persson (68-55-12; 8th season)
- Since taking over the program in 2009, Persson has amassed a 68-55-12 record, 
becoming the all-time winningest coach in program history
- Persson also led the Bulldogs to back-to-back GAC Championships in 2012 and 2013
- A two time All-Conference Coach of the Year, Persson holds a 37-24-7 record in GAC play
- He has coached one All-American, 12 All-Region players, and numerous All-Conference players during his time in Weatherford
 
- NWOSU: Craig Liddell (3-14-1; 2nd season)
- Liddell coached Enid High School for 15 seasons prior to collegiate coaching
- Coach Liddell was a two-time All-Golden State Athletic Conference selection playing at California Baptist
- He also has his USSF, National "A", and National "Youth" Licenses
 
The Opponent
- Northwestern Oklahoma State is a fellow member of the GAC
- The Rangers are currently 0-4 on the year, losing to Newman, Northeastern State, Washburn, and Fort Hays State
- In their first four games, NWOSU has yet to score a goal and have conceded 21 goals
- Hollie Pankake leads the Rangers attack having three shots, two of which were on goal

- The Bulldogs final non-conference game was cancelled due to lightning last Thursday
- SWOSU enters the game having not lost a match since the season opener against Central Missouri
- Erica Brunet has won Defensive Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks of the Great American Conference's weekly awards
- Alimata Rabo and Sandra Nabweteme have each won Offensive Player of the Week once this season
- Rabo currently leads all NCAA Division II in assists (5) and is tied for the lead in goals scored (10)
- Rabo is coming off three games last week where she scored nine goals and had four assists, earning her the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Player of the Week
- Both Olivia Butler and Nabweteme are tied with multiple players for second in Division II in assists (4)
