SWOSU: Barbara Burnett (19-60, 2nd season)
- In her second season as the head coach at her alma mater, having taken over after four seasons as the head softball coach at Independence Community College
 
Northwestern Oklahoma State: Charlie Zeilman (5-27, 1st season)
- Came to Northwestern after four years at LSU Alexandria, where he led the program to their first conference championship, regional championship and NAIA World Series appearance
 
SWOSU Notes
- Samantha Perry hit a team-best .444 against Oklahoma Baptist over the weekend, upping her season batting average to .318
- Larie Amos and Taya Haney both went 1-1 in the circle against OBU while SWOSU's team ERA in the series was 3.66
- SWOSU was a perfect 7-for-7 on stolen bases against the Lady Bison, led by Tori Hawk who stole three bases to give her a team-leading 14 for the season
- Alex Wilson has the longest hit streak by a Bulldog this season at 15 games, but Hawk has the longest active streak with a hit in seven consecutive contests

- Bulldog Softball is on the road this weekend, heading to Arkadelphia to face Henderson State in a four-game GAC series on Friday and Saturday
