Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
SEARCY, Ark. – The road woes continued for the SWOSU softball team on Saturday as they were swept by Harding. The Lady Bisons defeated the Bulldogs 4-1 and 10-2 in five innings to sweep the series and drop SWOSU to 0-10 in road games this season.

The Bulldogs are now 10-28 (6-20 GAC) on the year heading into a doubleheader at Northwestern Oklahoma State on Tuesday.

Harding 4, SWOSU 1
Box Score

Adrienne Martinez was 3-for-4 from the plate in game one and scored the Bulldogs lone run – an unearned run in the 4th – but there was not enough support for SWOSU to get a victory. SWOSU out-hit the Lady Bisons 8-7 but clutch hitting allowed HU to score their runs.

Julianne Martinez took the loss and falls to 6-13 on the year after allowing seven hits and four runs.

Harding 10, SWOSU 2 (5 inn.)
Box Score

Harding scored four runs in the first and added at least one run in all five innings to secure the run-rule victory. Back-to-back RBI groundouts from Nikki Brandt and Molly Vivo in the top of the fourth inning accounted for the run production for the Bulldogs.

Vivo started in the circle but only recorded one out before allowing three earned runs. Jordan Haney pitched the final 4.1, allowing 12 hits and four earned runs, but Vivo took the loss and falls to 2-8 on the year.
