WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Two teams that have started the conference season below .500 will meet this weekend when the SWOSU softball team hosts Southern Nazarene for a four-game Great American Conference series.
 
Both teams went 1-3 in their conference series last weekend, with SWOSU rebounding to take the final game of the set against Arkansas-Monticello. The Bulldogs come into the weekend 4-8 while SNU is 6-7 on the year.
 
Julianne Martinez has been one of the Bulldogs top pitchers, making five starts this year and she has a 3-3 record with a 3.47 ERA. Mallory Davis has been the other primary starter, but she is still searching for her first win and she has a 4.28 ERA.
 
At the plate, Adrienne Martinez has been the top threat for SWOSU. Martinez is hitting .415 with 10 doubles and nine RBI. Nikki Brandy, Courtney Miller and Caitlyn Deason are all hitting above .300 and Brandt is tied with Martinez for the team lead in home runs and RBI.
 
SWOSU and Southern Nazarene will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 2 pm before concluding the series on Saturday, starting at noon.
