WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The regular season of the 2013 soccer season concluded for Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Sunday with a non-conference match against Lone Star Conference co-champion Midwestern State.

Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, who were looking for a win that could help propel them into the postseason, they suffered their fourth setback of the season, falling 2-0. Midwestern State scored early, putting in their first goal less than 10 minutes into the game and tacked on an insurance goal in the 69th minute.

SWOSU outshot the Mustangs 17-11, but both teams attempted six shots on goal. However, it was MSU that put two past SWOSU's Courtney Flores for the victory. Midwestern State improves to 13-4-1 with the win while the Bulldogs end the regular season 11-4-2.

All is not lost for the Bulldogs, however, as the Great American Conference officially announced on Sunday that SWOSU will host the conference tournament next weekend. As the No. 1 seed, SWOSU will face East Central in one tournament semifinal while No. 2-seed Ouachita Baptist and No. 3-seed Harding will meet in the other. Game times will be announced by the conference office later this week.
