Last Minute Goal Completes SWOSU Comeback against SNU

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Facing a deficit with 11 minutes to play and treacherous weather conditions, the No. 17-ranked SWOSU soccer team rallied for two goals and a 3-2 victory over Southern Nazarene on Friday afternoon.


 
Kelsey Visor scored two goals for the Bulldogs, including the game-tying goal with just under 11 minutes to play in the match. Eva Rule then rebounded a missed shot from Miranda Balezentis and put it in with 43 seconds to play, giving the Bulldogs the go-ahead goal.
 
Brooke Siler came on in relief of Courtney Flores to make three saves and pick up the victory, improving to 3-2 on the year.
 
The win improves SWOSU to 8-2-2 on the year and atop the Great American Conference standings at 4-0-1. The Bulldogs face East Central on Sunday at 2 pm in Weatherford.
