WEATHERFORD – Dr. Bo Pagliasotti, SWOSU's Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR), has been appointed to the Faculty Athletics Representatives Association (FARA) Executive Committee. The appointment follows his five years representing the Great American Conference on the NCAA Division II Management Council.
 
Pagliasotti will be one of three Division II representatives on the 17-member FARA Executive Committee. The committee governs FARA and includes representatives from all three NCAA divisions, divisional vice presidents and association officers. Its membership also includes representatives from the NCAA Division I Council and Division II Management Council. Pagliasotti's three-year term begins immediately following the FARA National Meeting in Indianapolis on Nov. 9-10.
 
FARA represents FARs at NCAA institutions across all three divisions. The association evaluates the academic impact of proposed NCAA legislation and provides a collective voice for FARs, who help connect athletics with the academic mission of their institutions.
 
Pagliasotti has served as SWOSU's FAR since 2017. He also chairs the Department of Kinesiology and directs the Sports Management master's program. In addition to his Management Council service from 2021-26, he has chaired the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Committee. He was one of eight national finalists for Division II Faculty Athletics Representative of the Year in 2024 and was again among the top candidates in 2025.
 
At SWOSU, Pagliasotti helped establish a chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, the national honor society for student-athletes, and worked with the Faculty Senate to secure a permanent seat for the FAR. On the FARA Executive Committee, he will represent Division II FARs, help plan and conduct the association's national convention, and serve on at least one additional committee focused on areas such as legislative review, communications or awards.
