Three from SWOSU Baseball Earn CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three student-athletes from SWOSU Baseball have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections, announced by the organization.

Juniors Zach Makarewich and Kotaro Wakui, along with senior Rusty Wortman, each earn Academic All-District recognition for the first time in their careers.

Academic All-District selections are based on a combination of academic and athletic achievement. To be eligible, student-athletes must either compete in at least 90 percent of their team's contests or start at least 66 percent of games played. Pitchers must make a minimum of 17 appearances or throw at least 25 innings. Nominees must also maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and be at least a sophomore academically.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
