SWOSU Baseball returns home this weekend for its fourth conference series of the year. They will play host to Southern Nazarene (4-14, 0-9 GAC). The two teams met once already this season, a midweek nonconference matchup that the Bulldogs won 28-14.

SWOSU looks to gain its first GAC series win of the season, after going 1-2 in each series so far. Last week, they won game one at Oklahoma Baptist before falling in both games of the doubleheader on Saturday. The two losses dropped the Dawgs to 11-9 on the year, 3-6 in conference play.

The Bulldogs continue to be led by outstanding play in the batter's box. They rank third in the conference in batting average (.347), second in on-base percentage (.449), and sit third in the league in doubles (41). They lead the GAC in multiple categories, which include: runs scored (198), hits (230), runs batted in (178), and walks drawn (110).

Meanwhile, pitching and defensive struggles have limited the damage done in the conference race. As a team, their 8.28 ERA stands 10th in the conference. They are also bottom three in walks, runs allowed, earned runs allowed, and opponent batting average. The only team with below them in the latter three are their upcoming opponents, the Crimson Storm.

Individually, the Dawgs continue to be led by Landon Meyer, who hits for a .457 average. He still maintains the conference lead for hits with 37. Meyer is followed up by six more Dawgs who hit above a .300 average. Nolan McCrossin is second on the team in BA and leads SWOSU with 29 RBIs on the season.

Garrett Folmar has carried the load on the mound, accumulating seven appearances with one start this season. Although he does not meet the one inning pitched per game rule, his 0.48 ERA is the best on the team. Through 18.2 innings and 72 at-bats, Folmar has allowed just 14 hits and only two runs, one of which was earned.

As stated above, SNU ranks at the bottom end of the conference in many pitching and defensive categories. Offensively, they are fifth in the GAC in batting average with a .317, and rank fourth with 145 runs scored.

Since these two teams began playing conference games in 2013, SWOSU leads the series 35-3. Of those, the Dawgs are ahead 14-2 in games played in Weatherford. The Bulldogs are currently on a 15-game win streak against the Crimson Storm and have not lost at home since 2015.
