MANHATTAN, Kan. – In the first collegiate action since the start of November, SWOSU Women's Rodeo finished first at K-State while the men were 12th.
It's the women's team's third consecutive first-placing dating back to the fall where they won at Oklahoma State and Northwestern to close out the semester. The team has won in Manhattan in consecutive years and has won three out of the previous four years.
Reagan McIntyre tied for second in the average in Goat Tying after her 6.9 second run in the short round put her in a matching position in the round.
Patricia Lammers was also inside the top-5 of the average in Goat Tying, finishing fourth in the short round (7.1) and in the average.
Braylee Ward was SWOSU's other top-five finisher. Her 15.92 second ride in the long round put her third and she followed it up with a 15.96 short go time to claim fourth in the average.
On the men's side,
Jaylyn Hash clocked a 9.6 second run in the short round of Tie Down Roping and was fifth in the average.
Bob Walter's score of 68 in the Bareback long round (NT short round) let him finish seventh overall.
The teams will take a short break before returning to action March 13–15 at the Fort Scott Rodeo in Kansas. The 53rd Annual SWOSU Rodeo is set for April 9–11 in Weatherford.
