Women’s Golf Selected to Compete at 2025 NCAA Central Region Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Women's Golf Committee announced the teams competing in the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships on Monday. SWOSU earned a spot in the field for the 11th time in 12 seasons.

The Lady Bulldogs finished the regular season ranked as the sixth best team in the Central Region and will compete against 17 other qualifying schools from the Great American Conference, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Central Oklahoma will host the Central Regional at Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond, Oklahoma on May 5-7.

All participants will compete through the 54 holes over three days of competition. Qualifying teams and individuals from the region tournament will advance to the NCAA National Championships held May 13-17 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.

SWOSU Women's Golf finished as the Central Region Tournament Runner Ups in 2024 and in doing so, advanced to the NCAA National Championships for the third time in program history. (2014, 2019, 2024) The Lady Bulldogs currently have two golfers ranked inside the top 12 in the region with Freya Sala second and Drew Dodgion 12th.

Sala is fresh off a unanimous First Team All-GAC selection and GAC medalist honors at this year's conference tournament. Dodgion landed on the all-conference teams as a member of the second team and is now a two-time selection.
