FORT SMITH, Ark. – SWOSU Hoops had two land on All-Great American Conference teams on Wednesday night after MJ Warrior and Tobias Roland were recognized as Honorable Mentions.

Both earn the honor for the first time in their career, and Warrior does it in his final season as a Bulldog.
 
Warrior tallied the most assists of any player in the conference this season with 142 and finished second in assists per game, averaging 5.3 per contest. He averaged greater than two assists per turnover, finishing fourth in the GAC in assist/turnover ratio at 2.1. Warrior had five games this year with eight assists including a game against Northwestern that saw him miss a triple double by two assists. Defensively, he was 10th in the league with 41 steals in 27 games. Warrior averaged the fifth most minutes, playing greater than 35 per contest as SWOSU's floor general.  
 
Roland finished 15th in the league averaging 12.9 points per game with a 49% field goal percentage. He shot nearly 81% from the foul line, good for ninth in the GAC, and his 96 made free throw were sixth most in the conference. Defensively he was inside the top 25 in both steals and blocks, with 30 and 12 respectively.
 
Also announced were the league's Academic Honor Roll members, earned by holding a minimum 3.5 GPA with one year of full-time college residency completed. Kenneth Daughty III and Kaysen Gipson received academic recognition.
 
SWOSU Men's Basketball gets its postseason underway on Friday (March 7) against Harding in the quarterfinals of the GAC Tournament. Tipoff for the game is set for 8:00 pm inside Southside Arena in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
