The SWOSU Men's Basketball team (8-11, 5-9 GAC) is looking to bounce back from a four-game losing streak, with three of those losses coming down to the wire. Currently sitting in ninth place in the GAC and outside of postseason contention, the Bulldogs must find a way to pick up wins to close out the season. They'll face two familiar foes this week, having lost to Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State in their last matchups in early January. Saturday's game against HSU will be played at an earlier 1:00 pm time.

This week marks the start of a four-game home stand for the Dawgs, and home games have been a safe haven for the Bulldogs, who boast a 6-2 record in Weatherford compared to a 1-8 record on the road.

Ouachita Baptist (14-6, 9-5 GAC) enters the matchup on a two-game winning streak, with two players taking home GAC weekly awards. Shaun Williams was named GAC Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 25.5 points per game on 72% shooting, while Hobert Grayson earned GAC Defensive Player of the Week honors with 29 rebounds and 17.5 points per game. Grayson leads the GAC in rebounds (11+ per game) and ranks second in scoring (23.7 points per game).

The Tigers boast the top offense in the GAC, averaging 78.5 points per game in conference play, but their defense ranks 11th, allowing 73.2 points per game. Ouachita Baptist also leads the GAC in turnover margin (+3.0) and assist/turnover ratio (+1.34).
The all-time series between SWOSU and Ouachita Baptist has been tightly contested, with the Tigers holding a slight 19-16 edge. However, the Bulldogs have a winning record (8-7) against the Tigers at home.

Henderson State (13-7, 9-5 GAC) will visit Northwestern before heading to Weatherford for a 1:00 pm Saturday matchup. The Reddies are led by Nehikhare Igiehon (14.2 points, 6.6 rebounds per game) and Matthew Mayes (12.7 points, 2.8 steals per game), who ranks first in the GAC in steals.

As a team, Henderson State shoots 48% from the field, second only to league-leading SNU. They also grab 10.8 offensive rebounds per game (second in the GAC) and average 3.07 blocks per game (tops in the GAC).

Since 2012, the Reddies have held a 16-10 edge over SWOSU in their 26 matchups. However, the Bulldogs have struggled against Henderson State at home, going just 3-9.

The Bulldogs are looking to snap a slump that has seen them go 1-7 in their last eight games. This week's home games may be just what they need to get back on track. Tobias Roland leads the team with 14.2 points per game, followed by Eli Al-Debaran (12.1) and MJ Warrior (11.6). Warrior also leads the team with 5.0 assists per game, ranking third in the GAC.

On average, SWOSU scores 68.1 points per game (10th in GAC) while allowing 71.1 points per game (6th in GAC). The Bulldogs also make 7.1 three-pointers per game, fifth-most in the conference.
