RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Mazkenzie Sims picked up the final Great American Conference Setter of the Week award following a record-breaking performance in the final week of the regular season.
This marks SWOSU's second setter of the week honor this year, joining
Cameron Turner's recognition in week five. Before 2025, the Bulldogs had not earned a setter of the week award since 2021.
Sims set a single-game school record with 56 assists in SWOSU's four-set win over Southeastern. She averaged 13.71 assists per set during a 2-0 week for the Bulldogs, adding 40 assists in a three-set sweep at Northwestern in the regular season finale.
Sims and the Bulldogs open postseason play on Thursday, November 20, facing sixth-seeded East Central in the GAC Quarterfinals at 10:00 a.m.
