STILLWATER, Okla. – SWOSU Rodeo continued its strong fall run at Oklahoma State's College Rodeo, held Oct. 2-4 in Stillwater.
Cheyenne VandeStouwe captured her second straight Women's All-Around title, while
Heston Harrison claimed his second Saddle Bronc Riding average victory of the season. The Bulldog women won the team title with 325 points, and the men finished sixth with 270.
VandeStouwe swept both rounds of Goat Tying with identical 6.3-second runs to win the average, adding points in Breakaway Roping to secure her second consecutive all-around crown. Her win also extended SWOSU's streak of all-around titles this fall to three straight, following
Reagan McIntyre's victory at Colby to open the season.
Harrison continued to impress in Saddle Bronc Riding, posting an 80-point long round and 79-point short round to claim the average.
Jaylyn Hash finished second in the average in Steer Wrestling after a 4.8-second short-round run, while
Braylee Ward placed third in the Barrel Racing average thanks to back-to-back fourth-place runs.
Carli Stuva also finished inside the top ten. In Goat Tying,
Greeley Eastep and
Patricia Lammers both advanced to the short round and placed inside the top eight overall.
With three fall rodeos complete, SWOSU returns to action October 30–November 1 at the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rodeo in Alva, which will conclude the fall portion of the schedule.
