MONTICELLO, Ark. – SWOSU Volleyball picked up their seventh sweep of the season against Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday, defeating the Cotton Blossoms 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 inside Steelman Fieldhouse.
The match kicks off SWOSU's final road trip across state lines of the season. They'll conclude the Arkansas road swing tomorrow (Friday) at 4:00 pm against Southern Arkansas.
Set one on Thursday featured zero errors from the Bulldogs, who racked up 18 kills on a blistering .545 hitting percentage collectively. In set two, an early 8-0 run proved to be the difference maker. Despite a match low nine kills in the third, a mere one error paired with four blocks pushed SWOSU to the sweep.
The Bulldog block tallied another 10 on the night, marking the sixth time in 2025 they've notched double digits in a three set match.
Jenna Houk (.435) led the offense with 11 kills and just one error and was one dig shy of a double-double.
Sydnee Winfrey (.529) had 10 kills as SWOSU's other double digit kill provider.
Katja Blanchat finished with a match high six blocks.
Mackenzie Sims had 34 assists.
Jada Permenter matched Houk's nine digs.
