EDMOND, Okla. – The SWOSU men's golf team competed at the Oak Tree Invitational in Edmond this week, finishing in 16th place.
Central Oklahoma claimed the team title. UT Tyler ended in second place. Host Oklahoma Christian rounded out the top three finishers.
Lukas Hendricks was the top SWOSU finisher for the first time in the 2023-24 season. Hendricks improved his score in every round and shaved nine strokes from his first-round score to his third-round score.
Cameron Gallagher ended two strokes behind Hendricks. He led the Bulldogs in holes parred through the three rounds.
Jeric Ortiz shot the best round one for SWOSU, but fell back the next two and ended in the middle of the team leaderboard.
Sutton McMillan and
Caspar Graf rounded out the competitors for the Bulldogs. Both golfers found their stride down the stretch, carding their best scores in the final round of the invitational.
SWOSU stays in Oklahoma for their next tournament when they play at the Broncho Invitational in Oklahoma City on March 25-26.
