WEATHERFORD – SWOSU Rodeo had Levi Parker win the average in Team Roping and Heston Harrison win the short round in Saddle Bronc over the weekend at Southeastern Oklahoma State. SWOSU got a fifth-place team finish from the women and was sixth on the men's side in the third rodeo of the fall.
 
Parker, paired with NEO's Kyle Thomas, claimed second in both rounds (6.4, 7.0) for the fastest combined times in Team Roping. Harrison scored rides of 70 and 79.5 points in Saddle Bronc and finished second in the average. His short round ride came up a half point shy of tying his best collegiate score.  
 
Cheyenne VandeStouwe was the women's top finisher. She was tied for ninth in Goat Tying after the long round and a fourth-place finish in the short go bumped her up to fifth in the average. Gracie Snider, in barrels, made a similar move by improving on her 10th place standing in the long round. She posted a 15.98 second time in the short round, good for fourth, and finished sixth in the average.
 
Snider led SWOSU's barrel racers in the average, followed directly by Carli Stuva and Maddie Ball in 7th and 8th. Stuva's 15.95 in the long round was the fastest of any SWOSU competitor over the weekend.
 
Two rodeos now remain in the fall schedule. The Bulldogs travel to OSU October 17-19 and conclude the fall Oct. 31-November 2 at Northwestern.
