NORMAN, Okla. – Four from SWOSU Men's Golf were named 2022-23 Division II Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholars, announced Wednesday by the organization.
Conner Boydston, Lukas Hendricks, Gerardo Herrera, and Anders Strand all received the honor. Boydston and Strand have now been recognized three times, while Hendricks and Herrera each make the list for the first time.
This marks the second consecutive season that four SWOSU Men's Golf student-athletes have earned the honor – one shy of the five who were named All-America Scholars in 2021 which set the program record.
To be eligible for GCAA All-America Scholar nomination in Division II, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
