SWOSU Coaches Show: April 5, 2023

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – It's a football themed coaches show this week, following the completion of the Blue vs White Spring Game last week! Mike Smith checks in with Interim Head Coach Ruzell McCoy and three newly hired assistants, Bob Majeski, Austin Jackson, and Hakim Gray.

Majeski, SWOSU's Offensive Coordinator, brings a wealth of coaching experience to Weatherford which includes head coaching experience at Panhandle State, his destination prior to Weatherford, Dodge City Community College where he was named the 2011 Jayhawk Conference Coach of the Year, and Black Hills State.

Jackson, SWOSU's Defensive Coordinator, comes to Weatherford from Southwestern College (KS) where he spent the last two seasons as Special Teams Coordinator & Linebackers Coach. In his two years there, Jackson and the Moundbuilders finished as back-to-back Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Champions which included identical record-breaking 9-2 seasons for the program.

Gray, SWOSU's Defensive Line Coach, comes to Weatherford from Buffalo University where he was a graduate assistant coach for the Bulls in 2022. A year prior he was at another D1 school, Grambling State, where he was also as a graduate assistant. Gray began his coaching career at Arkansas Tech from 2019-20.
