WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Women's Basketball snapped a five-game losing streak following a 70-65 victory over Ouachita Baptist on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Bulldogs weathered a slow third quarter and responded with a strong fourth to earn the win.

Averi Zinn who had 19 points.
Morgan Smith did a little bit of everything for SWOSU on Saturday. She finished with eight points, but also grabbed six rebounds and produced a career high six assists.

SWOSU led 38-28 at halftime before that lead evaporated by the end of the third quarter. After being outscored 16-7 in the third quarter, things tightened up entering the fourth and it was anyone's game.
When they needed it most, the offense clicked late. The Lady Bulldogs shot 50% in the fourth quarter, knocked down a pair of three pointers, and went 7-for-8 at the free throw line to ice things in the final minute.
Though it was a one-point game entering the final quarter, SWOSU never trailed the rest of the way and opened up a lead to as many as nine points with under four minutes left to play.
The win moves the Lady Dawgs to 7-10 in the GAC. They'll be on the road with three games next week, beginning with Northwestern on rivalry Monday, February 13. From there, they'll travel to Harding and Arkansas Tech for the typical Thursday/Saturday slate.
