WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Jameon Mitchell and Gerald Palmer (SWOSU Football) have been named the latest Bulldogs of the Week. This award is brought to you by Wright Wradio, the official partner of SWOSU Athletics for both livestream and radio.
Mitchell (Paris, Texas) had a career day to lead the Dawgs to a 38-31 win over Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday night. He led SWOSU in tackles with seven total (four solo, three assisted) with one tackle for loss. He also ended the game with an interception in the endzone to stop the Bison in overtime. This is his first career interception.
Palmer (Paris, Texas) also had a career day on the ground for the Dawgs this week. He carried the ball 24 times for 131 yards and one touchdown. It is the most rushing yards by a player this season for the Bulldogs. Worth the shoutout, he also had an impressive block on a pass rusher that allowed Tylan Morton time to throw a 47-yard touchdown for SWOSU's first touchdown of the game.
