Oklahoma City, Okla. – The SWOSU Women's Golf team competed in Oklahoma City this week at the Diffee Ford-Lincoln Invite, where they finished at 5th place as a team. This competition was a two-day event hosted by Southern Nazarene University. It was also the Bulldogs best team finish of the 2021-22 season so far.
Central Oklahoma would win the tournament, collectively shooting a +19. Oklahoma Christian would finish second, with a +21. Oklahoma City finishes the top three teams, coming in at +25 as a team.
Rebecca Lau was the top finisher for the Dawgs, shooting a +8 for the tournament and finishing 15th. This is her second best tournament performance for the season.
Not far down was
Megan Brown, who ended play at +11 and placed 17th over the two days.
Anna Marksa and
Mikaela Rindermann completed the event with identical positions and scores, +14 and T-25th. Rounding out the SWOSU lineup is
Zoe Morton, who finished +19 and T-40th.
The women's golf team will be in action next March 21-22 in Commerce, Texas at the Lion Invitational.
