WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Seydi Smith and Nate Postlethwait have been named the latest Bulldogs of the Week, brought to you by Wright Wradio – the voice of SWOSU Athletics heard on both 95.5 ‘The Coyote’ and 100.3 ‘Coyote Classic.’

Smith (Newcastle, Okla.) finished first in her 5000m race on Saturday as SWOSU’s highest finisher of the OBU Invitational held in Shawnee. The freshman posted a 20:14.41 to earn the fastest time in her Saturday heat.

Postlethwait (Wichita, Kan.) kept a nationally ranked Henderson State offense in check during his start on the mound, holding the Reddies to just three runs on four hits in 7.1 innings of work. The senior was in control nearly from the start by striking out six and walking three. He did not allow a run until the fifth inning and surrendered only single scattered runs to finish his outing. Postlethwait and the Dawgs went on to earn a 6-3 victory over Henderson State to win the series.
