WEATHERFORD, Okla. -- Stephen Patrick "Pat" Lewis of Oklahoma City has made a generous gift commitment to Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) football.
Lewis wore number 83 for the Bulldogs from 1978-1981 on the football field. Lewis's time at SWOSU saw many winning seasons and much success for the SWOSU football team in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) conference.
Lewis later earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Southern Nazarene University. He retired from his position of Community Relations Manager at Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) in 2021 after 36 years of service. Lewis' wife, Gayle is also retired from OG&E.
"Gifts from former players are important to our athletic programs," said SWOSU Athletic Director Todd Helton. "Not only do they provide funds for the team, but they show the current players what it means to be a Bulldog. We are so grateful to Pat Lewis for his continued support of SWOSU Football!"
