WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU was turned away by Harding on Thursday night, falling to the Bisons 78-66 at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center. The loss mathematically eliminates the Bulldogs from postseason contention.
Harding hit 11 three-pointers on Thursday night, including three straight in a 73-second span in the second half as they took an eight-point lead with 3:53 to play. SWOSU shot 36.8% (25-68) from the field but struggled mightily from long range, hitting just 5-of-28 (17.9%) attempts from beyond the three-point arc.
Damion Thornton led the Dawgs with a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds while
Bralyn James added 14 points in his return to the starting lineup.
SWOSU (12-15, 8-13 GAC) closes out the 2019-20 season on Saturday with Senior Day against Arkansas Tech beginning at 3:00 pm.
