WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Senior guard
Marquis Johnson was one of four Bulldogs in double figures as he led his SWOSU team to a 99-98 victory over Arkansas Tech in the finale game of the 2019-20 campaign.
Johnson finished with 22 points, seven assists and five rebounds in his final game as a Bulldog while
Damion Thornton posted yet another double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out in 26 minutes of action.
Anthony Love chipped in 16 points and seven rebounds off the bench while
Bralyn James added 12 points and
Phill Baker finished one point shy of a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.
SWOSU finishes the season with a record of 13-15, more than doubling their win total from last season. The Bulldogs tied for eighth place in the final Great American Conference standings, but lost a tiebreaker with Ouachita for the final spot in the 2020 GAC Tournament.
