SEARCY, Ark. – Damion Thornton scored 28 points to lead four Bulldogs in double figures as SWOSU cruised to a 95-73 victory at Harding on Saturday afternoon.
 
SWOSU led by 10, 53-43, at halftime then opened the second half on a 16-0 run and never looked back. The Bulldogs maintained a double-digit lead for the entire second half, pushing the lead as high as 28 at one point before coasting to their largest win of the season.
 
Thornton led the way with 28 points and nine rebounds while Marquis Johnson had a full stat line as well with 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals. Bralyn James had a season-high 17 points and Anthony Love had 14 points and five rebounds as the duo helped SWOSU's bench outscore Harding's 38-25.
 
The Bulldogs shot better than 50% from the field for just the second time this season, knocking down 37-of-50 (52.9%) field goal attempts while connecting on 7-of-22 (31.8%) three-pointers. SWOSU also outrebounded the Bisons 36-to-26 and led for more than 38 minutes of the game.
 
SWOSU evens their overall record at 9-9 with the win, while improving to 5-7 in Great American Conference play. The Bulldogs are back at home twice next weekend and they'll start by going for the season sweep of Southern Arkansas on Thursday night.
