Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Women's Golf will tee it up this week in Austin, Texas, for their first event of the spring season, the St. Edwards Women's Invitational
- This will be a two-day tournament, with 18 holes of play to be completed on Monday and Tuesday to determine the winner
- The Lady Bulldogs finished the fall season ranked #19 in NCAA Division II by the Women's Golf Coaches Association
 
Fall Review
- SWOSU had one second place finish at the NSU Women's Classic back on September 11
- Twice the Lady Bulldogs finished third at the UCO Classic and the NCCA Central region preview and then tied for third at the DBU Match Play Invitational
- Gloria Choi was SWOSU's top golfer in two of the five events during the fall
- Choi's 71 in the opening round at NSU's Women's Classic holds as the teams' lowest carded rounds score for the fall
 
Last Time Out 
- SWOSU finished out the fall season back on October 17th in Muskogee, Okla. where they placed 3rd at the NCCA Central Region Preview
- At the tournament, Elin Wahlin fired rounds of 74 and 75 to finish seven-over par for the two rounds
- Chloe Thackeray carded matching rounds of 76, and Gloria Choi was two shots behind her
- Veronika de Bochdanovits had a matching round of 78 while Mikaela Rinderman rounded out the scoring with scores of 84 and 82

Tournament Preview
"We've been playing in some colder conditions here lately, so we're chasing better weather this week with our tournament in Austin. It's always tough trying to learn a new golf course, especially in the winter time when it won't be playing the same way it might be a little later in the year. We've tried to do as much homework as we can before going, but a lot of our work will be done on Sunday in the practice round. As far as the competition goes, it'll be a great field filled with really good teams from the West Region primarily, but there will be a couple teams from our region. It will be a big challenge, but I think our girls play the way that they're capable of then we'll be able to compete here.

- The Lady Bulldogs will continue their spring season on March 4th and 5th at the Diffee Ford Invitational in Edmond, Okla. at the Kickingbird G.C
