Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Men's Basketball faces a stiff test on Saturday in the form of Great American Conference leader and #17/20-ranked Southern Nazarene
- The Bulldogs are on a five-game slide and saw their postseason hopes dashed on Thursday in a 98-96 double overtime loss to Northwester Oklahoma State, which mathematically eliminated SWOSU from postseason competition
- Southern Nazarene, on the other hand, bounced back from their first loss in a month with a 102-62 thrashing of Oklahoma Baptist on rivalry Thursday
- SWOSU is 1-10 this year in true road games, including a record of 0-8 on the road against GAC foes, while Southern Nazarene is 11-1 at the Sawyer Center, the lone loss coming last Saturday to Southeastern Oklahoma State

SWOSU Notes
- Nick Shoemaker led the Bulldogs in scoring for the first time this season after posting a season-high 22 points on Thursday night against Northwestern
- Shoemaker was 7-of-10 from the field and 6-of-8 from three-point range, knocking down his 200th caree three-pointer during the game
- Kamden Gipson secured his first career double-double with 20 points and 10 assists on Thursday, setting career highs in both categories
- Daniel Eibel made his sixth start of the season and responded by matching his season-high with 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting before fouling out for the third time this year
- Eibel has scored in double figures seven times this season, all of which have come in the past 13 games as he's upped his scoring average to 6.9 points per game
- Four different players connected on a three-pointer against NWOSU, helping the Bulldogs finish one off their season high by knocking down 15-of-32 (46.9%) attempts from long range
- The GAC's leading scorer, Tre Evans, was held in check by Northwestern for the second time this season, making just two field goals against the Rangers to finish with 16 points and seven rebounds while matching a season-high with seven turnovers
- Cheikh Fall pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds for the third time this season while also adding five points
- Fall has fouled out of four games this season and he's finished the last six games with at least four personal fouls

- SWOSU will play their final two home games of the season next weekend, beginning with Henderson State on Thursday night before Senior Day on Saturday against Ouachita
